Owen was born and raised in Grand Forks. Owen was a cross country runner in high school, loves math, and plays piano. He is a Junior at UND pursuing a Computer Science degree and he enjoys playing around with and working on computers. Owen loves the outdoors and likes to bike, rollerblade, hike, or just walk around and explore in his free time. Owen enjoys spending time with his friends both in person and in the virtual world of video games. He looks forward to when the Curderburger arrives at Culvers so he can indulge in an unhealthy meal that speaks to his soul. A black kitten found Owen outside of a Panera and made Owen's home his own; they are now best friends and Owen loves him a lot. Owen has been spotted attending the A Johnston Therapy table at various events, including Grand Forks Pride, and is the team photographer and social media wizard.
Kayla is from Frisco Texas, and is half Caucasian, half Filipino. She is currently pursuing a bachelor degree in Social Work, and hopes to become a therapist herself. Kayla is extremely passionate in the world of mental health. She strives to be a safe person to turn to for confidence and uplifting. Kayla is Green Bandana trained, meaning she is part of the Green Bandana Project which is a movement to prevent suicide and promote help-seeking behavior all around bringing awareness to mental health and its resources on college campuses. Kayla is also Adult Mental Health First Aid trained and certified which means she has been taught to recognize and direct adults that show warning signs of their mental health being at risk. Kayla has gone through LGBTQ+ Ally training and events and is a proud ally and supporter of the community. Kayla enjoys spending quality time with her friends and family. She loves to, every once in a while, take her guitar out of its case and sing along to songs for hours on end. She also loves going to games and concerts with friends and finding new things to do and explore in North Dakota.
